Metamorphosis is a representation and celebration of personal growth and change. The colors were lightly inspired by the monarch butterfly migration – Marks heard once that there are so many butterflies that the trees look like they are breathing. The paint is completely metallic, so that the colors of the drum shift depending on which angle you view it from.
