Burt Reynolds was created in response to the male gaze present in artwork available in the commercial Northwest Coast art market. Some male artists are creating very anatomically correct depictions of women. In past times, modesty was prized. I chose the famous Covergirl centerfold image of Burt Reynolds because it is cheeky in every sense of the word. Reynolds is knowingly objectifying himself.
