“Live Long and Potlatch depicts a traditional hand making a familiar gesture. The design is a nod to the technology and media filled world we live in today. I hope the humorous design will make First Nations culture accessible to youth who aren’t interested in tradition, and people who are “alien” to the Northwest Coast.”
In 2014 Marks was selected to design the official t-shirt for the Claiming Space: Voices of Urban Aboriginal Youth exhibition at the Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver, BC. A museum volunteer models the shirt.
