Hale-Bopp is the comet that lit up the night sky in 1997 and was visible to the eye for 18 months. The Tlingit, like many First Nation cultures, tell the tale of how Raven released the stars. Modern astronomy and ancient mythology were the inspiration to depict Hale-Bopp, set to return to our inner solar system in the year 4385.
